I think Anton Bauer made an economic choice, not an engineering one, not to produce a dedicated STEADICAM battery.

I got a bunch of Gold 98s once AB could no longer serve my needs for camera and steadicam. Very happy with them. Use them with my existing AB chargers.

after some more research I have found a battery, that at least according to the specs, might be the best suited Steadicam battery for now.

I used these exclusively on a show last summer. The whole camera dept loved them. They'd be a strong contender, if not my choice, when it comes time to replace my dionics.

Just wanted to chime in quickly here. The DIONIC HC battery is still being manufactured and will be thru the end of 2016. At that time, you will see something VERY new.....very cool....
