A guy named Richard Armstrong messaged me and told me another guy named Dave Cotten had one for sale. I guess I’m an idiot. I paid the guy $75 via PayPal and then crickets. Turns out I found the image he sent me of the cable in an 11 year old post on Steadicam Marketplace.

Premium Members Chris DesRochers Posted August 10 Premium Members Report Posted August 10 Another scammer with the email dolcegarbbani@gmail.com is scanning posts and impersonating the lister to try to get someone to buy gear they don’t have once someone shows interest in the post. Not sure how to stop them without directly contacting this email address. I don’t want someone else to get scammed. This was my post from a year ago with new interest and he got contacted by dolce like this. Please help! Thanks!

I wanted to buy a db2 topstage from (Enrique camacho) he is a forum member. I contacted him via forum and also via his email on on his website, asking for the db2. after few days somebody reached out to me on WhatsApp, claiming he is Enrique and wants to sell the db2. He said he has no PayPal and gave me another PayPal address (not his name) after a few messages back and forth I was sending the money to this address but with buyers protection (not friends and family) later he came around the corner with 80$ for shipping with a different mail on PayPal I should use. It was also not his name. He insisted to have this shipping fee via friends and family. This morning he came with a story that somebody else was dealing with the shipping and made a mistake by packing the item and add some more. so he was asking for more money in a strange way, different numbers ending up with 50$ I should pay more because of more shipping costs. I said well if this is true I am happy to pay but he needs to proof me the costs for shipping otherwise I am not willing to pay more. he said the item is on the way. But refuses to show me the complete tracking number or the receipt from ups. He only showed me a screenshot from tracking with half of the number blacked out. I was wondering if anybody had this before or anybody knows him and can proof that he is dealing with me. thanks in advance cheers holger
