CharlesBattison
First Post so here goes! My uni only had glidecam rigs and that's really how I started out by flying either a Panasonic 171 or Canon 5D Mark three. I then started using a Stedicam pilot on a few shoots but really I'm at the moment where I want to buy a sledge that can be used to broadcast cameras and Cinema cameras. So I wanted to ask what advice you can give to someone who are starting out in this area and any kits people would recommend buying. Moderators Janice Arthur Posted July 3, 2016 Moderators Report Share Posted July 3, 2016 Charles; Welcome and look into the archives, this question has been asked and answered scores of times. Take a workshop, week long ones are best. Figure out who the major manufacturers are and look them up on websites. I'm sure you don't have the money to invest in the rig you really want, none of us did, so we did what you are doing, we took baby steps. Start with a workshop and the Steadicam op handbook. Good luck. Janice
