ON/Off switch on the sidekick

I received my Sidekick a few weeks ago and I like it a lot. it does not have display the same video quality as my Arrow X receiver but it is still great and with solid reception. My only concern is that it does not have an On/Off switch, this caused two of muy batteries to o over discharge and fried. Is there a reason for the lack of the switch?

Hey Matias,

 

Interesting that you're seeing lesser video quality with the Sidekick vs an Arrow X. Can you describe the difference? Is the Sidekick more washed out or something else? Sidekick should look as good as any other model from Teradek & Paralinx.

Hi,

 

Yes, the image is a little bit more washed, its seems like it has less sharpness. My 1st Ac used the Arrow X RX for focusing and i convinced him to try the Sidekick, he asked me to changed it back to the Arrow X. I asked him to show me the difference and its somehow noticeable, specially for a focus puller, its easier to focus on the ArrowX image than on the sidekick.

As far as the ON/OFF switch, its wired, I don't know why its not there, its silly.
