Premium Members Bryan Fowler Posted January 3, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 3, 2006 (edited) I know there are several different ways of recording video on our rigs, but for those of us who have an iPod already, this is interseting. http://w3.isee-ato.com/ Edited January 3, 2006 by bryanfowler

Premium Members Thomas English Posted January 4, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 4, 2006 looks cool as anything... so I wonder if they going to make anything for the new video ipod? I was looking at that moments ago and was thoroughly impressed. All you would need is the hardware to encode whatever blasted format the video is held in. Could make a real nice combination. Although I don t think the video Ipods codecs support the best of quality video. It looks as though this setup will record really good video, mpeg2, so its not afraid of full resolution streams and I am sure the mpeg4 will be maliable. ... The menu system could be very convenient. It might also be a pig with the two bits of hardware working together. brilliant thomas
Premium Members Mikko Wilson Posted January 4, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 4, 2006 Is it just me, or does it look like the iPod screen is on one side, and the iSee screen is on the other? Both sides with a screen seems like a good way to get one broken screen - and I'm not really sure how you'd mount that to anything. - Mikko
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted January 4, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 4, 2006 Interesting too, Mikko, though no corcern for you, that Mac users will have to wait for Mac-compatible firmware for a Mac-enhancing product. The dock with the AV in/outs requires its own power supply as well. I really hope this is the one, but.... I'm really keen to hear what anyone with more experience thinks about this. Premium Members Imran Naqvi Posted March 4, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 4, 2006 Just found this This looks very interesting, a touch on the big side, but the price is just right and you're not paying for a screen you wouldn't use anyway. Also a 30 day money back no questions returns policy. Since I'm in the UK I'm not sure if that would be any good to me, but does a friendly US op want to try it out? I can't see how it's powered though. That might take some choping and solderin' which is always fun.
