Yelangu S60T Plate Compatibility with Manfrotto plates

Hi guys!

 

This is my first post here, so if it's the wrong subforum I apologize.

 

I'm currently looking in buying steadicam. I have already worked with Glidecam HD 2000 and I must say It's an amazing piece, but also expensive (for me as a student).

 

I also went and take a look in few others steadicams, but they all have the same problem. Plate have special mounts, and I am not really sure if they are compatible with manfrottos plate. I want to have same quick release plate on my tripod, steadicam and slider, because of lack of time when filming (run and gun style).

 

I was nearly convinced with Flycam HD 3000, but I can't get it to ship into my country and also I found lot's of negative reviews about the company that sells them.

 

I'm using Canon rebel T6i (Canon 750D) with battery grip and 18-135mm kit lens.

 

My budget is around 150 to 200€ max (with shipping included).

So here are the questions:

 

Does anyone know if Yelangu s60t is compatible with manfrottos 500PLong plate or any other manfrotto plate for that matter (357 etc.)?

Can the mount on this steadicam be changed with whole new mount?

Is there any other steadicams out there that enable you to put your own mount on it (like in glidecam hd 2000, or flycam hd 3000)?

I don't know those units you're asking about so I don't know if manfrotto quick release will work.

 

Here's my advice for you right now, with only a budget of 150-200(currency), don't buy anything.

 

Whatever you're looking for is probably not substantially better than what you have and you're just adding more money that is very hard to come by for not much more benefit.

 

Use your current gear, suffer, learn, save so that by the time you graduate maybe you'll have both more money and more vision on the substantially better gear.
