Save a lot of time and headache on set and it takes very little effort for the post guys (just remember to turn the directors monitor upside down as well ;) ). Some video cameras, like Sonys IMX, allows you to flip the image in camera. When shooting film I get the brackets I need on a production to production basis. I was recently shooting in San Antonio with a 435 from a Los Angeles rental house and I had my Hill 435 LM bracket, BUT the rental house has made an adapter for the video tap which was about one centimeter higher than most ARRI 435....Needless to say that one centimeter blocked MY Low mode bracket from attaching properly.. Anthony Graham Posted January 14, 2006 Report Share Posted January 14, 2006 Hi First of all get either a D,F or J bracket for your gimble. Depending on rig/gimble. Then a lowmode cage I know they are not great as you can get some wobble on some set-ups. They will cover most types of camera and are more of an if all else fails standbuy! Baer bel make a very riggid one though that will almost clamp the camera between the bottom and top parts of the cage. Then rent specific ones to cameras as and when needed. Simple, rugged, cost effective. Cost is US$350. plus shipping of your choice. Within the USA, USPS Priority Mail at $4 is usually best. Currently I have one unit in stock and more coming.
