You are in good shape if you use ARRI or Moviecam but out of luck if faced with Panavision, Aaton or Video. All custom cables and no garantie that it will work or that Arri would fix it if it blew. Also Gears are not available for other lenses... then 0.8. Also custom job. ARRI was not very happy when I asked them about mods for Panavision, they also told me any mods voids the waranty. If you spend so much money it should be universal out of the box.... but again if you only work with ARRI you should be fine. I bought a Preston instead.
