Hey everybody!

I just checked out the new arm by Rig Engineering and I have to say that it ROCKS! I ordered one and my arm is still being built but I tried out Jon Myers arm. It is a IIIA on steroids and it is super smooth compared to my old IIIA arm. For those of you who want to upgrade your IIIA arm it is totally worth checking out their new arm. This is my first post to the forum so whazzzzuppp???!!

I was able to try out Jon's arm with BJ the same night. Very impressive. The machine work is top notch and the arm is VERY smooth. He makes the whole thing from scratch, so to my suprise...his socket-block fit in my vest better than my pro arm's socket block.

Jon is very pleased and BJ is going crazy waiting for his arm. I talked to Hugo a while back...he is using a very high end bearing manufacturer and it seems that the US military keeps cutting in line and taking Hugo's bearings for their own dastardly puposes. That's not really fair...don't they know we all need steadicam arms? I know there's a "war against terrorism" but come on!

I've been flying my new steadyrig arm for three days now on a vodaphone commercial with an Arri 435. Like others have commented, its a swap over for my old, well serviced 3A arm. It feels just sooo good, looks a treat, booms are smooth, Low mode requires less of a push, everthing how it should be. It feels right. Hugo is a very personable guy and a pleasure to deal with. I wish him luck :)

I just got my new arm!!!!! This arm is really nice. Hugo at Rig Engineering has made the IIIA arm even better. I recomend that if you have a IIIA arm and you want a new arm to go with Rig Engineering. You can trade your old arm in for his upgrade or a totally new arm. If anyone is in Los Angeles and they want to check out the arm let me know. I will be more than happy to show you my new arm.

Hey Marcus,

The web page is www.steadyrig.com

They have not updated the webpage but you can get a glance at the rebuild of the IIIA arm. You also can pick the color of the spring covers. On the web page they are Black and Blue. On my arm I got my covers all black. I will try to post a picture when I have more time. Check it out.

what BJ isn't telling you is that even though his arm covers are a cool flat black, his arm is anodized pink to match his tu-tu and ballerina slippers he wears while operating.

I heard the arm was shipped in a pretty impressive al-queda proof crate! Post pictures of your arms guys!

no, you're the bitch BJ. The tu-tu looks much better on me (it makes you look fat!) and the rainbow springs are a new option from pro to promote brotherly love...I love you BJ, but you are indeed the bitch.

kiss my preston

HEY JAMIE!

The arm you brought out here and sold me is back in New York now. I also sold the gimbal you sold me which also is in New York. I have a buddy that bought it from me to put his rig together. His name is David Ellis and he is one cool cat. Help him out if you can because I am sure you will meet him. I thought you would get a kick out of seing your old gear again. It worked great for me. As for Ron, he gave me back my Tu-Tu and I stole his PRO arm with the rainbow spring canisters.

I'm sorry to bring personal matters up on the forum...I was just emotional over the loss of my tu-tu. That bitch BJ is parading around town happily operating with one of Steadyrig's new arms, thinking he's all that, all while wearing MY tu-tu. Just wait dude, I'll Tonya Harding your knee-caps and be back on top before you can say BL Evolution!

maybe we should start our own "bitch slap" thread?

Without Rons Tu-Tu I could never have pulled off the triple lindy BL-evolution maneuver that I did last weekend. O.K. Ron, I think since you have the rainbow springs and I have the Tu-Tu we can just trade off when it is needed. But nobody else can use the TU-TU!!! The Tu-Tu is a well kept secret that many ops don't know about. It has strange magical powers. I now understand Ron that you have been a few days powerless so I will share.

A Bitch Slap Thread could be cool.
