Bob: What other options did you look at before choosing the MK-V lower stage? And how does it future proof stuff? (Just looking for things to look for as I shop about) Alec: I talked to Gregg from XCS about his monitor bracket. He suggested extending the battery mount on steel rods to get the battery back some. I wouldn't be able to adjust it, but it would possibly be better than almost under the post. I hadn't thought about vibrations, but it's a great point. I'll add that to the caution list. I called Jerry Hill, but he doesn't have any battery hangers left. I think it would have been to much for what I can afford right now anyway. Martin: Thanks for the hands on report with the MK-V. Right now I'm looking at the XCS and MK-V brackets. I like them because of their ability to move in 2 directions independently. I'm still working on the battery thing though. ...more later.
