Carl Perkins
Even if certain items are not sold through your website, it would be great to have one site that serves as a reference for everything Steadicam. I think you should include not only the ability to order stuff through your site, but direct links to the manufacturers where more info can be obtained. Erwin Landau's 'Links' link on his site: landaucamera.com is a page I visit all the time because it's so thorough. It's also laid out in such a way that it's pretty easy to find what you're looking for without having to filter through pages. Dan Coplan Hi Dan, Thank you for your comments. Our idea right now is to put the best short description of each product on our site. If manufacturers have a web site, we will link to their site for more info from them. If manufacturers don't have a web site, maybe we will build a page where they can put info about their products. Right now we have a link to manufacturer's site. It is on the single product detail page. Just click on the manufacturers name at the top of the detail section. It is a bit hard to find right now, but I plan to make it much easier to recognize the links to a manufacturer and other contact info. When the site is up, it will be easy to find all contact info of each manufacturer. Thank you, thank you for all your comments, I want operators and manufacturers to be completely happy with this steadicam site. Carl Hey, and don't forget shipping europe (germany)!.I love the idea of this site but you need even more stuff on there...! Very cool! Guido Thanks Guido, I hope to have all steadicam gear on the site eventually! We are working on arrangements to ship to Europe and other areas outside the USA. It may be necessary to only accept PayPal payments from other countries because of the amount of fraud happening now with credit cards. But I hope to have it all worked out soon. I don't want to leave out all the excellent operators all around the globe. Carl Thanks all for mentioning what type of gear you would most likely buy on a steadicam web site. All good for me to know! Carl
Carl Perkins
I hope you don't mind if I ask another question or two. What should be the lowest end gear we offer in our online steadicam store? Is there any gear we shoud not offer on the site? Johanwindfeld
Well Carl.. <_< Thats a tuff one, Many people have diferent menings about that.. I have owned a Basson Steadi system, and that is.. well not something you would sell, its okay bot not for a good store like yours. I think you should take all the Glidecam And maby Varizoom, that way you have many "small" steadi systems as well as the big firms. Dont take systems from countrys far away.. then they cant give the support you need.. ( FlyCam/Basson) Hope that helps.. :D
Carl Perkins
Thanks for your comment Johan, this is something I really want to hear comments about from operators. I don't want to exclude something that people want and I don't want to have things on the site that operators feel is too amateur/consumer. I also don't want to represent manufacturers that don't provide good service to customers during and after the sale. Carl

Carl Perkins
Imran, Sorry I haven´t answered your question, I am in the country of Panama now and it is difficult to check the site everyday. The site should be up, my webmaster may have been working on it. The site is not actually active for purchasing right now, it is just the format to show what we are thinking and to get comments from operastors and manufacturers. We are working to get it ready for making sales. We hope to have it ready by April/May, but things are taking longer than expected, as usual. Thanks for visiting the site, we will let you know when we can take orders. All the Best, Carl Perkins www.SteadiStuff.com
