Premium Members Dave Wowchuk Posted February 23, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 I know we all wear "show black" for live concerts and events, but does anyone have a recommendation for what "brand" has worked best for you? Is it Nike Dri-Fit, Under Armor, etc etc.? Microfibre, cotton, blends? I hope this turns out to be a helpful thread (no pun intended.) Premium Members Andrew Jansen Posted February 23, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 I wear Merrell shoes, and black yoga pants from www.bepresent.com They are very comfortable under my Klassen vest. Elastic waist with draw string, very light weight.. http://bepresent.com/bpstore/product.php?p...&cat=251&page=1 I usually wear a 100% cotton t shirt, but it does take a while to dry when I get out of the vest. You can't go wrong with Under Armor.. Hope this helps ! Andrew
Premium Members Aaron Medick SOC Posted February 23, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 I wear EMS wicking shirts and pants. Shoe from Merril, Garmont, and Vasque. But most important is Superfeet insoles. The Pants are too loud for a tender dramatic scene, but they are great out sid, or for any music/live events. Johanwindfeld
Hey there I wear soccer/fotball t-shirts, because the body heat can with ease get out and away from the body. I allways chose blach shirts, but still, soccer/futball shirts with tiny small holes in the material.

I use Columbia Shirts, with UV proteccion and Dry fast type of fabric, best for long summer days and very sweaty environments. Try them they are the best. Premium Members Thomas English Posted April 6, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 6, 2006 I try and wear the loudest and finest hawaiian shirt I can find that does not stink too much of smoke and beer from the night before. Stephen Press
It is the DOP?s right to have the strangest article of clothing on the set? I?m sure that?s in my contract somewhere? Canterbury do a great range of rugby shirts (not the All Blacks anymore) that are good and I like the soft collar, it stops any chafing on my neck. http://www.corporate.com.au/Menswear/Cante...sportswear.html http://www.corporate.com.au/T_Shirts_/Rugb...by_jumpers.html
Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted April 7, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 7, 2006 Heft Bag now makes 55 gallon sizes in flat black. Works wonders, helps ya lose weight too....... I usually wear black slacks and a long-sleeved black t shirt, frequently adorned with something small on the chest. A fave is my old "48 Hours" shirt. Premium Members Marc Abernathy Posted April 7, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 7, 2006 can these be purchased at local brick and morter places? target? sears? so one should use 100% cotton.. no blends or other herbs and spices correct? Premium Members Kris Torch Wilson Posted April 7, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 7, 2006 Forget outer garments, let's talk about what really counts. On a live show: boxer briefs, taped show one can get away with boxers. In both cases 100% cotton, and always in some version of show black or your favorite super hero print. Never nylon, that nasty crotch sweat will chase away those young PAs faster than anything. And never ever wear a thong unless doing a "Brokeback" sequel. Whitie tighties...forget about it. Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted April 8, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 8, 2006 Goodness me. An added thought on a non-Brokeback issue. When I know I'm looking at a long haul show, but there is an intermission or break built in, I always bring a change of clothing. It's amazing how great you feel when you throw the dripping wet clothing into the bag and put on clean dry ones- even if they are dripping wet again in an hour.
