Premium Members Dave Wowchuk Posted March 6, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 6, 2006 I was curious to find out who the operators were last night at the Academy Awards? I was very impressed with one shot in particular ... during Dolly Parton's song from TransAmerica, the operator walked down the aisle, down infront, stopped and zoomed in (steady like a dolly shot.) It made my wife say, "Honey, can you do that?" "Not yet." I replied with a frown on my face, "One day soon ... one day soon." Dave
Premium Members Brad Grimmett Posted March 6, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 6, 2006 It was probably Dave Eastwood. I saw his name in the credits, but there may have been other steadicam operators as well.
Premium Members Kris Torch Wilson Posted March 6, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 6, 2006 [Eastwood was on the stage right camera left side and Hector Rameriz was on the other side. And yes it was a gret job of operating. You guys should see him, he makes it looks effortless. Torch
