Hi all,

I'm relatively new to the vast world of Steadicam. I see a lot of operators wearing gloves and I'm wondering if what the main advantages and reasons are?

(not referring to gloves for cold weather conditions).

Cheers,

Sam.

I usually wear fingerless gloves because of the sweat. They help to absorb any moisture that results in a slick grip on the gimbal handle, or even on the gimbal itself. It's a personal preference, much like wearing a sweat band during the extreme summer seasons.

I wear a glove on my right hand to help with sweat, I have an Aero 30 and the handle gets slippery. I don't wear a glove on my left hand, gimbal hand. I'll probably get a fingerless glove for cold weather if needed.
