ProVid STEADICAM MONITOR CABLE

Hello,

do anybody know the correct distribution of the pins number in the Hirose connector of the ProVid monitor (year 1995)? Frank and Kyle from Tiffen, sent me yesterday the diagrams with the assignation pin:

1.- BLACK (GND)

2.- Video -

3.- Video +

4.- RED (V+)

The problem is that I can´t see the numbers in the Hirose connector. Is correct the pin distribution in the image attached?

Thanks a lot

Hi Nacho,

Looking at the picture and the pin assignment it looks right to me - I had a Provid, and dealt with the same connector.

The best advice I could offer is to check all the connections using a circuit tester.

Hope this helps.

Hi

If you have a connector actually made by hirose (HRS visable on the connector) then the numbers will be inside the connector. They are really really small, so small that usually when the pins get soldered the numbers tend to melt back into the plastic if soldered a little vigorously. If you are repairing the connector a new one would be easier to fit than using the old one.
