Hey guys and gals,

I had a question that may have already been answered here somewhere. Does anyone have a technique or tip for making a rain cover for the volt gimbal? I have a commercial and we have rain planned on Tuesday. I just wanted to know what people may have done for rain. Post your pics if you have any. Thank you.

Hi BJ,

So far I've only used a Volt in the rain once. We covered it with cut up cap-its draped over the Volt with some excess hanging down over the sides to give the water somewhere to go. We were diligent about drying it off between takes, and going under cover while everything was reset (we were on an E-car doing a stunt scene). Held up great, though we were careful about paying a lot of attention to keeping it dry. Would love to hear what others have done!

I’ve used the rain cover for the bottom section of the arm, and it worked pretty well. Because it’s open all along one side with velcro it was easy to wrap around the Volt

Hi. I make a rain / dust cover for Volt  it’s waterproof and easy on easy off. No Velcro  I can make either operating side and 1.5 and 2” posts.   If you’re  interested I can make you one.  Reply or text 847.343.7255

All the Best. Stay well cheers

I have a fully weather-kitted sled w/ Volt weather goodies from Rob Carlson and they’re great. I highly recommend. He also made some custom ones for an AC friend’s Hi-5/monitor setup, so let him know what you need.
