BFD Momentary vs. Continuous

I'd like to compile a list of cameras and whether they function in momentary or continuous run mode. Easy enough to figure out on set but easier to have a small card on hand that just indicates what's what.

I asked Jim about it and he agrees it's a good idea but is understandably busy with NAB.

Would welcome your input. Example:

Arri SR-3 - Momentary

Panavision G2 - Continuous

etc.

I have no idea if the above examples are correct - just an illustration of what I'm looking for.

Thanks.

Hi Dan,

Not a bad idea to have a list. However, pretty much any camera that has a mechanical / toggle switch (old Arri's) is CONTINUOUS operation. Any camera that has a push button(Moviecams, New Arri's) is MOMENTARY.

Hope this helps,

Hi Dan:

Here is some:

Arri Bl: Con

Arri 35-3: Con

Arri SR 1,2: Con

All new 24v Models: If you are using the 11pin Fischer will be Con, But if you are using the RS 3pin Fischer Will be Mom.

I hope this help.
