Premium Members pauldudeck Posted August 6, 2020 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 6, 2020 Hi Kelsey, Which model number chargers and which serial numbers are you looking to get upgraded? You can contact our Service Department directly at servicesupport@vitecgroup.com and give them the information and they can ship you the chips if they are available. Please let me know if you run into any problems doing this. Kind Regards, Paul Dudeck (203)402-7962

Andrew Stone
Paul, given that Ritter Battery is no longer in business, are there any promos going on with A/B batteries right now. I know there was one a while ago. A bunch of us are trying to figure out how to proceed from here. Thanks.
Premium Members Jonathan Pfundstein Posted August 22, 2020 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 22, 2020 Dang this really is a bummer. John and his team were always great to deal with. Seems like an opening for someone else to start Re-celling batteries!
peter keeling
this is a bummer. ive used john several times in the past for re-celling and for fixing firmware issues in my chargers and batteries. Always super easy to deal with and quality work. Let me know if you guys come across the next Ritter anywhere...
cameraassistant
I can't find anyone else who will recell my batteries. Was anyone else besides Ritter doing this?
Premium Members pauldudeck Posted September 14, 2020 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 14, 2020 Hi Everyone, Sorry for the late response (Andrew), but things have been hectic. I am sure that you have all seen the new batteries that Anton/Bauer just released last week. If not, please take a look at them along with the new Anton/Bauer website. Happy to take any feedback that you have to our Marketing Team. If you want to send that information to me direct, and not post it here, feel free to do that to paul.dudeck@vitecgroup.com. We still have the 'Trade-In Program' going now. You can save up to 25% off of List Price. Please email Hannah Vollenweider at hannah.vollenweider@vitecgroup.com and she can help you out! If you have any re-celled batteries or non-Anton/Bauer batteries to trade-in/replace, we'll do a bit better on the price for you in order to bring you back to the Anton/Bauer family! Thank you. Andrew Stone
Thanks for the reply Paul. I had not seen the new batts until just now. WIll get in touch once I sort out my freelance work in the near future. Good to hear A/B is willing to come part way with the Trade-in and similar programs. Premium Members Lawrence Karman Posted September 15, 2020 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 15, 2020 I suppose I know the answer but wondering why Anton/Bauer does not offer an option to re-cell their batteries and save the planet from more plastic waste? Honestly, I could have taken advantage of the trade in offer at only a slightly higher cost but I found the reuse/recycle option so much more appealing.
Andrew Stone
Lawrence you make a great point and given what seems (at least to me) is a collective awakening that has happened in the media recently as a result of the massive forest burn that is happening all over the Western USA. There is a interesting compendium of leading articles in most if not all of the American newspaper outlets about the "Climate Apocalypse" that is underway. You should be able to find the articles on AXIOS.com. I truly think we are going to see shift in collective thinking about the environment and in this case the reuse/recycle ethos. If brands that sell products that can be recycled ignore this psychological shift that will take place, they will do it at their peril. I refuse to believe the cynical perspective that everybody including VITEC Group will just wait out "this issue" and carry on in the same old way. They have to be discussing this at an executive management level. Thank you for bringing up what should have been obvious to many of us.
