VV cam and Steadicam

Controversial question alert

Would it be possible to fly this Wilcam VistaVision camera on a Steadicam?

It's 60lbs with two mags, 1000ft film and lens but the mags are not coaxial, so the weight shifts from feed mag on the right to takeup mag on the back.

The film travels horizontal all through the camera, there is no twisting.

I’ve seen it done before - I think Colin Anderson had flown one about a year or two ago. At least I saw it being prepped on a Steadicam, don’t know how well it actually worked on set though. I remember they had a mag that basically looked like a regular mag flipped 90 degrees off the back - it wasn’t feeding/taking from the side of the camera so they probably had a special mag throat or a body specifically for steadi. Hope this helps. I’m a prep tech at Panavision so not entirely sure how it was done in the field but I’ve seen it rigged up for it. Best of luck.
