Premium Members Alex Marmalichi Posted February 23, 2021 Premium Members Report Posted February 23, 2021 I’m 5’10” looking for more elbow room, but don’t want to give up low-end boom range. Anyone my height try both 2inch and 4 inch adapters and have a preference? Quote

Anyone my height try both 2inch and 4 inch adapters and have a preference? Alex, Do you mean high-end boom range? The iBaird bracket would give you a lower low since it's a drop down bracket. I had the 4" at one point. Loved it as far as clearance for both my arm/elbow and monitor visibility. I'm 5'11", maybe 6' when I first wake up in the morning. If I ever needed more boom on the top end, I just put in a longer arm post. Hope that helps. Cheers, Maxwel Edit: Realized Alex's post is a year old. Gus, my comment is probably more relevant for you now. Edited April 23, 2022 by Maxwel Fisher Realized the date of the original post after commenting. Quote
Premium Members Loren Hamilton Posted August 8, 2024 Premium Members Report Posted August 8, 2024 I'm 5'9"–10" (on a good posture day) and I think the 2" is the perfect amount. 4 would feel great for low mode for sure, but I still feel like I've got all the "upper" control with the 2", and still allows me to easily get eyeline with a long post for 6'3"+ people. Was using my Klassen the other day in that scenario and was definitely feeling it more difficult, since the carbon arm natively is lower than the PRO even with the 2" iBaird (but I could be wrong about this, but worth testing).
