Premium Members Mark Karavite Posted April 3, 2021 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 3, 2021 My shiny new Volt M2 and XCS 1.75" post are in, so swapping over this month. Just wondering, are Volt owners holding onto their old gimbals as a backup, or is the Volt robust and never have the need?
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted April 4, 2021 Moderators Report Share Posted April 4, 2021 Mark, I have not taken the plunge but rest assured should I, I'd be keeping both my XCS 2" post and XCS gimbal (and Wave).
Premium Members Kevin Jacobsen Posted April 16, 2021 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 16, 2021 Keep your old gimbal! Gear fails. You can always take the drive assembly off the m2 gimbal, but I highly recommend keeping your xcs gimbal, as it's the best one I've ever come into contact with. I'm not sure if the gimbal in question is an xcs, but having a back up is quite nice.

Carlos O. Guerra
I’m keeping mine so far. As backup and in the event I have to ship the volt off for repairs or updates.
