Chastising them for not having found this out as in this thread is obviously not a good way to make an impression, as several of the memers pointed out there. I tried logging out and going through the process to start an account here, and there is nothing in the forum guidelines or elsewhere about using one's real name as a screenname (the obvious place for a note on this would be right at the screen that one inputs this info). Premium Members Afton Grant Posted December 24, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 24, 2006 Similar to Charles's suggestion of taking care of the issue right from the start, I wonder if it would be possible to get rid of the display names completely. Simply ask the user's first name and last name in the signup process. The display name would be created automatically.
