Mikko,

Congratulations man - way to go. A lot nice than my first rig (a beat up old model 2).

Put it to good use and enjoy.

Congrats Mikko..., damn a Archer .. that means that mostly spoken arm.. G50 right ?

Have many nice and safe flights !

Best, Erik

Congrats.

I've had my Archer since February, and I love it! Fly safe and wonderful with it!

PS! Word of warning! This is something Robin tipped me about. My screw that tightens the sled (how long it can be), it broke. And Robin told me that I had tightened it too much. This is true. It only needs a little tightening.

Hey Mikko,

let's keep in touch since we both have the same rig. I'm maxing the Archer out at a friends house next week. He's got several cameraes at home, a 235, 435 and a big one, I think he called it 535. And several other 16mm. I'll send you a detailed post with pics.

So far I'm verry happy with my rig. I use it 60% for documentaries and 40% for fiction. About that. One of the big issues is the lack of tilt head when in low mode. But I spoke to Jerry and he said that it's no big deal replacing the original head, with the new SE tilt head coming out. And the 12v issue can sometimes be a bitch. I'm looking into placing a second battery on the rig. Probably by the rods. Again, the rig is wired for 24v, according to Jerry it's no big operation making it happen.

Another issue is Antlers in low-mode. But I've been to a metalshop, and trying out a little trick to attach them so they're straight over the post. Let you know what happens. Have you thought about anything here?
