I created a versatile kit that allows you to fly a big rig at a low entry price point and quickly swap to gimble, hand-held or sticks with the SOS plate and Slingshot. I took a modular approach when creating the kit, so when you’re ready you can swap-in other sleds while keeping the arm, vest and support tools. I bought this Steadicam in 2020 from the talented Lohengrin Zaplain (RIP). I’m the second owner and primarily used this for flying on my own indie productions. The rig was made for heavier cameras, but the package includes a 15lb (6.8kg) weight plate that allows you to comfortably fly newer digital and lighter cameras up to a very comfortable operating weight. The 3A arm can be modified by Robert Luna to open up the bottom of its range. This kit is great for anyone looking to upgrade into a commercially useable rig without the budget for a brand new one. While a little older, it still comes with quite a few nice features. Note that the Transmission, FF and batteries all work.
