These aren't made anymore, but they combine a Gorelock GAD 2 docking ring with the post lock. The idea was to remove the need to place a Gorelock ring either over or directly below the post lock screw and replace both with one convenient ring that would be less likely to loosen when docking and undocking. The Lock Dock also provides the minimum clearance needed under the ring so you know that with your gimbal all the way to the bottom of the Lock Dock, you still have the clearance to actually lift the sled on and off!
