Premium Members Sopon Nakvit Posted February 3, 2024 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 3, 2024 The Exovest locker moves out of the point while in use. What should i do.
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted February 3, 2024 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 3, 2024 Hi Sopon, First release the over-centre latch, then slide the rods out, and clean them and the inside of the lock with alcohol. Then tighten the nut on the inside of the latch by ⅛th of a turn. If that’s not enough, try another ⅛th if it still slips, call, FaceTime, or WhatsApp me on +31623918492. All the best, Chris Fawcett

Premium Members Marc Dunham Posted February 18, 2024 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 18, 2024 I came on here to post about the exact same problem except mine has now Snapped around the clasp after getting this vest repaired for other defects just 2 months ago. I’ve tried everything and this problem happens constantly at the worst times (I.e. last year Live stream at Coachella it gave way while on stage) on a job now and It’s embarrassing. I’m sorry to just jump in here but I’ve lost all confidence in this vest and not sure what to do. I’ve been flying maybe 35-40lbs max and not abusing it and it still happened. Premium Members chris fawcett Posted February 18, 2024 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 18, 2024 Hi Marc, Obviously this should never happen. I forwarded your post to the engineers at Tiffen. I’d like an answer too. All the best, Chris
Premium Members Marc Dunham Posted February 18, 2024 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 18, 2024 Thank you Chris. If it weren’t for these problems I’d love the vest. I don’t mean to be coming off hostile or anything just obviously flustered at the job. Appreciate you.

Premium Members Marc Dunham Posted February 18, 2024 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 18, 2024 Yes I’m LA based, Tiffen is about 25min from my house. Thank you for understanding. Yes want it sorted quickly as I’ll be out in Coachella Valley again all of April doing the Live Stream and need to be able to rely on the gear out there.
