Premium Members rupert peddle Posted February 13, 2024 Premium Members Report Posted February 13, 2024 Tiffen Steadicam LX vest, standard size with full size socket block for big rigs. I got this vest new when I started out and used it until I changed to a Klassen a few years ago. I kept it as a backup or for small spaces but it's not been used since so it's time it found a new home and can get back to making movies! The vest is in great shape as you can see from the photos. The plastic bits on the inside front of the shoulders have split but that's pretty standard on these vests and doesn't affect your operating. Based in London, UK and local sale preferred but could potentially take it apart for shipping. £2000, no VAT. Cheers!
Premium Members Norbert von der Heidt Posted December 6, 2024 Premium Members Report Posted December 6, 2024 Hi Rupert Is this vest still available? I had downsized from a Flyer about 7 years ago to a gimbal then a Came-TV stabiliser and have regretted it ever since as the vest is absolute crap. 😪 I'm a big boy at 189cm and 120kgs so my concern is how well it would fit me? Please give me some dimensions if possible. At this price it would do the job for me (at my age 71) where I'm just donating my time, camera and lighting gear to the local indie film community for their shorts. Can you give me a total approx price inc shipping to Australia. Cheers mate, Norbert von der Heidt

Premium Members Norbert von der Heidt Posted February 20 Premium Members Report Posted February 20 Hi Rupert Thanx for getting back to me but I'm looking at a Movcam at a better for me price but anything could happen. Cheers Norbert
Premium Members Jeremy Chen Posted February 20 Premium Members Report Posted February 20 (edited) @Norbert von der Heidt Movcam and Came_TV are same quality garbage. You’re going to end up spending more by saving on cheaper quality stuff that breaks easily. Get a second hand trusted reliable product (like Tiffen/what this guy is selling) and not worry about it. Premium Members Norbert von der Heidt Posted February 24 Premium Members Report Posted February 24 Hi Jeremy Thanks for your reply, I know what you mean! I have had a number of real Steadicam rigs over time and I appreciate having the real deal to work with. Unfortunately I'm now almost 72 and retired just doing my thing on local indie short film projects for free. I do them for love of being a cinematographer so I don't have a lot of $$$ to spend so am forced to use Came-TV and other similar cheap gear to do what I need. I don't have the kind of cash available right now to get your LX which is preferrable, I'm forever hopeful that situation may change sooner than later. Thanx again Norbert
Premium Members Jeremy Chen Posted February 26 Premium Members Report Posted February 26 @Norbert von der Heidt oh gosh please forgive me I am terribly sorry for the assumption! I hope you find what you need and have a nice day!
Premium Members Norbert von der Heidt Posted February 26 Premium Members Report Posted February 26 Hi Jeremy Hahaha, no need to worry, mate. I just did a Aus dollar to Euro conversion and your asking price works out to $2500AUD. That is $1000AUD more than the Movcam vest I was looking at from Spain. What is your absolute best price so I have something to aim for? Also, I would need to do it either via credit card or Paypal (which is linked to my VISA card). I live for my pension every two weeks as that is how I roll nowadays. 😄 Cheers Norbert
