lot's of interest, but no takers yet.

This is a real nice alternative for a 'mid' range kit, 'oldskool' but bulletproof sled with the supercool Calicocam bracket!

Hi Erik.

I use a modified ProVid sled. Who makes the long dovetail plate for the ProVid? I haven't seen any long dovetails with the geared section for fore/aft.

For anyone interested in an opinion, this is a very capable sled. I've flown large RED packages and Alexa Mini LF on this. I practice with a 26lb cage without any issues. YMMV.

Hi Bob,

This is not an specific 'long' dovetail plate for the ProVid. This particular topstage is/was used on the Steadicams: mini, sk video, sk2, flyer, flyer se, flyer LE, provid, provid2. If i remember correctly, some years ago i bought a Flyer with 3 dovetail plates from which 2 were this longer version. So with this kit, the standard 'shorter' and this longer version is included.

A really longer dovetail plate can be bought by Peter Abraham, he sells also the super longplate with extra gears, the Zalex plate.

Thanks for your statement about the sled. I love the beefyness about it. No flex extending the post, no vibration. Simple, strong and realiable.
