Keith Wood Posted November 9, 2024 Report Posted November 9, 2024 Looks like I'll be hitting NAB this year. Any Steadicam-related events, talks, etc? Quote
Nelson Villamil Posted November 11, 2024 Report Posted November 11, 2024 Hi Keith This year (NAB 2024 Las Vegas) Tiffen had a nice and small space, let's say, a bit away from the busy and noisy exhibition floor. There we were able to meet, talk, try out the rigs, just enjoying. For sure by 2025, we'll also be able to meet again during NAB 2025 at some Tiffen/Steadicam space. Happy flying! 1 Quote
Keith Wood Posted November 17, 2024 Author Report Posted November 17, 2024 Away from the exhibit floor? As in, no membership needed? I will be in town the first couple of days that NAB is running, working the Baker2Vegas relay race, and thinking of taking another day or so for NAB, but I'm not really interested in buying show membership. I'm no longer shooting TV news, so it's not something that I need to attend. Quote
Nelson Villamil Posted November 29, 2024 Report Posted November 29, 2024 Hi Keith Las Vegas convention center is huge, you know, and each building (hall) at least this is the first time I've seen it),has a small rooms that the exhibitors use to serve customers, without the noise of the exhibition, the rooms are just up stairs in the same hall. You don't need to buy a membership to visit NAB, just a few months before, almost all exhibitors offer codes to register visitors for FREE. When I have a code, I will share it. In fact, the official website says that registrations for NAB 2025 will be open from mid-January. 1 Quote

Premium Members David Marroquin Posted April 7 Premium Members Report Posted April 7 This might be a silly question, but anyone know if the Volt will be offered for a Zephyr system? I saw a video from 2023 of Jerry Holway showing one, but there was no update or other information that I can find. I believe the Zephyr is now discontinued (I bought mine in 2022) and recently saw a new system called the Axis (20 lb load capacity vs the 23 lb load of the Zephyr) come out. Quote
Nelson Villamil Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Hola David This 2023 video showed the prototype, today's Steadicam AXIS with the Volt system. I don't know, if Tiffen will offer (or design/manufacture) a Volt version for the Zephyr, to be purchased separately.. My 2 cents Quote
