Premium Members David Baldwin Posted September 13, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 13, 2006 Call David Hable up at cramped attic in BC. His stuff is a little bit more than that, but you can always get it fixed, by him, in a reasonable time. Matt Burton
Are we talking just a TX/transmitter or both TX and RX/reciever ? -matt
Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted September 13, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 13, 2006 A bit more expensive than you may like, but I have always found Teletest to be a great company with excellent gear and customer service. They do 2.4Ghz systems and receivers built into portable LCDs.

Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted September 14, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 14, 2006 Yup, that's something I use, though I think that 3000 mW is a bit much. If people are already worried about radiation from cellphones..... Mine is 500 mW and covers around 100-150 meters, often enough. These can be bought build in a LCD screen as well,I have such a set and have put a NP-1 batteryholder behind it. Ideal to give the director/first AD. Not too expensive here in Thailand, about 250-300 $ for the TX-RX set, the LCD with receiver is another 250-300 $ I suggest you go the 1.2GHz route, the 2.4 is already saturated. Note: as with many other units, these transmitters are illegal almost anywhere but here, due to the high output and also the frequency is not cleared in many countries. But I doubt you get busted for this, they are not using regular TV frequecies so complaint from neighbors are unlikely.
Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted September 15, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 15, 2006 Cheers for the heads up Jason,I've been looking for an RX with built in LCD for a while now. Good luck in Kosovo mate ! Hi Matt, Black Box Video also do these LCDs, amongst others. I would definatly reccommend Teletest though, great people who will look after you. They do some useful booster / high gain antennae too. Cheers for the good luck message!
Premium Members Anders Holck Petersen Posted October 9, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 9, 2006 Note that while it do say 3000mw that is the total powerconsumption, it is actually 1500mw of Transmit power.
