We started arguing about the weight of the individual support arms and how much heavier they are at the end of the day... So... here more useless information from me... Anyhow, found an old scrap of paper where I had measured the weight of a couple of arms at Clairmont (I believe it was 2004). All at the same day with a digital scale: - Master/Ultra: 11.5 lbs - Bear Bel: 11.7 lbs - PRO: 12.0 lbs - Sachtler Artemis: 13.2 Other weights that I collected (for my never finished book) before that and weights from websites, etc: - 3A/EFP: 10.1 lbs - ProVid: 11.0 lbs - SK: 6.6 lbs - SK2: 7.0 lbs - Actioncam Zero-G: 13.0 lbs Anybody can cim in for the following? - Silver Spring Arm - G-50 - G-70 - Latest Ultra (with tooless socket) - Gold Arm - ProGear/Sprint - MK-V XO (Hugs and Kisses???) - Steadicenter Arm Nothing better to do... It's now a history lesson at best (some was used for the "Steadicam: aesthetics and technics" book a while back) and history is better told by Garrett himself. Stay tuned for his memories... I heard of people that read some sample chapters and they were rolling of laughter... It would be nothing more then presumptuous of me to publish anything steadicam at that point in my carrier... maybe in 20 years... maybe.
