Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted November 11, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 11, 2006 I just flipped through the new "Entertainment Weekly" #907-November 17, 2006... There is an article on the new movie "The Nativity Story" on page 58 and there is a behind the scenes picture of a steadicam operator, shooting hard mounted of a Camel. On IMDB there is no operator listed... The only thing I was able to determine was: He is goofy and is using a PRO 2 with home made Antlers... If I ever get my new scanner to work, I'll scan it in. Peace or was it Pees? Erwin

I still would like to know the operator and the story behind it... Erwin

Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted November 11, 2006 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted November 11, 2006 Thank you Michael, Great shot of Roger Tooley and his Ultimate. I'll put it into the Steadicam Forum Archives as links have been lost or broken in the past. I was cleaning up in the last couple of days and many posts make no sense what so ever, as the link that was shown went nowhere. Please copy and paste so that the archives make sense... Thank you, Erwin
Brad Richard
The steadicam operator in the Entertainment Weekly riding the camel is George Billinger. I am a 1st AC and have worked with him and his gear quite a bit. I recognized him in the photo because of his rig, specifically his home made antlers.
