kip ross
I remember seeing, on the back cover of ACM, a gentleman standing in front of a Persian rug wearing a Steadicam. The thought always struck me that it must cost a lot of money to have a full page ad on the back cover of this mag. I am curious as to who he is. Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted November 26, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 26, 2006 I always loved those adds so I could check out different pieces of his gear. Does somebody have any of Uncle Teddy's adds? They were really cool. rb
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted November 26, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 26, 2006 Got most of them--sounds like a long date with the scanner though... My vote for the all-time classic Ted ad was the shot of his vest covered with tape and the tagline "Experience". One can only imagine an update of this--me, I'd make sure to feature the ribbon of sweat line that wends its way down the pads of my Klassen harness. Yuck. Premium Members Will Eichler Posted November 27, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 27, 2006 Folks, While we're at it, maybe Janice would be kind enough to post one of her old "Barbie" adds as well. Another classic. Best to all, Will Eichler
Moderators Janice Arthur Posted November 30, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted November 30, 2006 Hi Will; Love to add my "Barbie" Ads. Got to hook up scanner so it may be a while. Loved all those ads, it was fun to get the ASC in the mail and look to see who was doing what. Hope you're well Will. JA
