MK-V Workshop

Recommended Posts

Thanks to all those that attended the December MK-V Workshop.

It was a real pleasure to spend time discussing various aspects of 'Steadicam', and to see the positive development of competance levels within the group increase.

As always, we had a plethora, of equipment available to all students and a rigourous schedule of activities including; Handsfree Transporter, Hard Mount on Quad bike, Crane step on/off... amongst many other traditional drills.

Also, a particularly successful AR Induction day on the Friday brought an end to a very busy week!

A Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all!

Best Chris McGuire.

Spot on Chris.

Having completed the whole five days I can say it has to go down as one of the best investments I made last year apart from the actual purchase of an actual rig, last year for me is sumed up like this. Very daunting initial outlay nice arm (Rig silver spring) lovley sled (MK-V evoloution) folowed by more spending on 5 days training and to be folowed up soon this new year by purchase of focus motors (I need them to get 50% of the work I am offered) not forgeting new monitor, 2.5gig wireless, weightcage, arm bag and of course CAR-VAN!!,,, and on and on indeffinatley. Wow this is an expensive hoby-sport-craft-way to make a living. When Flemming said that this was just the begining and I should now prepare keep spending forever with always some gadget new and better than the last being released every week, I had no idea how spot on he was. Personaly I like owning cool stuff all year round.

A sled is not just for Chrismas you know.

Oh yeah it was a great course I personally left with a great deal more confidence and a whole load of usefull tips and knowledge that would have taken me years to aquire otherwise. Life is full of investment some little some big some are certain to pay off like good equipment and good training.

Happy New Year all.

Make the most of it!!

Dave (so when will it pay for it'self?) Hughes.

Hi Dave / Guys

So glad you enjoyed the workshop.

Due to the re-sounding success of the December MK-V Workshop.

We will be bringing forward the date of our Spring Workshop because of work commitments.

The new date will be the 19th of February 2007.

The week will endeavor to give participants an all round grounding in both the Beginner/Refresher aspect of 'Steadicam' and also optionally introduce advanced working's with auxiliary equipment including; Aero crane Step on/off, Hard Mount ATV etc... But also developing a more controlled way of operating.

Also, the AR induction day will be held on the Friday, to introduce and allow one-on-one interaction for Operators and Assistants with the MK-V AR.

(Once Operators and Assistants have attended the course they will be automatically added to the MK-V AR resource list.)

Hi Will / Guys

Sorry we are changing to a new server and it is meant to be invisible.... <_<

So it will be back up very soon and the ALL new MK-V site will be up and running very soon as well.

Which seems like a good time to ask ALL MK-V owners - if you have any photos or video clips please email them to us and we will put them up for you (with a link to your own site)

Should be back on very soon.

I look forward to seeing the photos

All the best for 2007

Howard

Hi

Just a quick note to say after some web server issues the new workshop video is now up and working. If you want to take a look at what you could be doing if you decide to take the MK-V Workshop it's at www.mk-v-workshops.com

As you can see a good time was had by all. Plus we had wind shipped in just for the outdoor days to make it that little bit harder. :P
