Sorry for the short notice but several of use are going to go to Dromo1 Here to do a little racing. Some of you may know that I used to race and teach for a few racing schools like Skip Barber Racing School, and I need to do a little pre-season warmup before I head to Sebring.

So who's in? it's $25 a race which is about 12 mins of racing, trust me two or three of those sessions and you will be exhausted. Races are split into heats (approximately 20 laps), starting with qualifying, then THE RACE, with up to nine drivers racing together, so you can expect to experience the intensity of serious racing. The karts are maintained equally, allowing the driver with most ability to win. Speeds in excess of 40 MPH can be reached and each driver receives a printout of their racing statistics.

We are going at 11am.

So, Who's in?

Did I miss it? Jon Myers and I went to Dromo1 a year or two ago and had a blast. If you haven't gone yet please post when you're going.

Yup you missed it. Three of the Guys that I coach went and we had a blast. After we ran a few times at Dromo we ran over to K1 in Irving and tried them. K1 is an asphalt indoor track so it's not a semi-slick track like Dromo.

Bottom line is that I kicked their butts in all 8 races. :)

Doing a cinegear race might be tough. Dromo1 is probally 55 miles from Cinegear and K1 is 65miles away. It's hard enough just trying to get people to go 5 miles for dinner and drinks.

Then there is the problem with it being a weekend. We would have to do a private event and rent the place for a specific time.

If enough people want to do it I'll set it up, but we'd have to set up some sort of prepay reservation system since I would have to prepay to set up the private event
