Mitch Gross
Check it out. I've been talking to the designers for more than a year about this one and it's a real step forward in HD to me. The mag, camera and viewfinder/6" LCD screen are completely modular, so in theory you could add just a post and gimbal and have a complete sled. Oh yeah, the downconverter will be built in. The website just has initial info right now as the camera is debuting at NAB today, but more info wll be posted soon. No more 4' long crappy HD cameras with huge cables dragging behind you. Now it's 16mm-sized boxes with a single thin fiberoptic run. Sweet. www.kinetta.com

Ruben Sluijter
We tried one of these on the new Steadicam Flyer at NAB and it was amazing, flew like a dream. Now we can all run off and do our own interpretations of the Russian Ark without all the hassle, it's just soooo light! The version we had on it could store something like 110 minutes of uncompressed video (not sure if that was HD though) through a RAID hard disc system. Peace, Ruben "Waiting for the first 24 hour, real-time shot" Sluijter

That's the standard 1080p HD "mag." Soon to be followed by the inevitable "but what if I want a 111-minute shot?" Amazing bit of technology there. It's iPod drives inside that thing!
