Premium Members Thomas English Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 I want a transparent post, one where I can just see the wires going up. For those awkward shots (regular/lowmode) where the post is in the way of your monitor.
Premium Members RobVanGelder Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 and transparent wires too, I guess ? :D :D wouldn't make much sense otherwise...
Premium Members Dan Coplan Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 No, but it would look damn cool. I want an iSled where I have my choice of colors: blueberry, lime, strawberry, etc. Dan
Premium Members JimBartell Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 No, but it would look damn cool. I want an iSled where I have my choice of colors: blueberry, lime, strawberry, etc. Dan Believe it or not, we did the prototype run of SK vests in a rainbow of colors: Hot pink, lemon yellow, lime green, electric blue. As expected, everyone thought they looked really cool but would refelct like signal flares on set, so no more were made. What is needed is polychromatic coloration that would change to grey once the cameras roll..... Premium Members Thomas English Posted February 12, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 What is needed is polychromatic coloration that would change to grey once the cameras roll..... That would look wicked... like an ultimate tally light! You could also have it turn to bright red when the AD asks you to go back from lunch early before your hour is up! make it turn chrome like a knight for when your chatting up the chick from art department! fantastic. I want a motorized topstage that has pressure sensors in it so it can just balance itself. And a special walking stick that shoots out of the bottom of my sled when they are making me wait for ages. An umbrella attachment at the top of the whole sled so you have no fears of the rain.
Premium Members chris fawcett Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 I'd have thought the obvious solution was x-ray specs.
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 Sure, and then you'd able to see through everyone's clothes too, like Ray Milland in "X". That might make things a tad distracting on some sets. With my luck, I'd end up on a string of prison movies.
Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted February 12, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 Some people's posts are more transparent than others. Oh, oops, you guys are talking about gear. :o Edit addition: Charles, I don't want you to think my post was in response to your post. (a smiley just for you) I just saw that people were starting to be funny so I had to post a post about um... posts. not about forum posts.. gear posts.. I'm very confused right now.

Premium Members Daniel Stilling DFF Posted February 13, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 13, 2007 Michael, it never is. Actually I worked on a female prison horror movie a few years ago. Besides the ocasional shower scenes it did suck just as any prison movie does... Premium Members Howard J Smith Posted February 13, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 13, 2007 Hi I always thought the best idea would be to hand hold the camera hanging from a helium balloon with lights in, then you can always have complete freedom and a great toplight where ever you go! Just an idea? Cheers H
