quick update in my quest....

Sketchers=no good for steadicam nor operating... to operate I need a fix grip over the ground, these shoes are everything then stuck to the ground, you bobble while walking with that shoes, good for posture and strengthen your back (may be), horrible to operate with (both handheld and steadicam)

Now I'm trying this model of Aku and up to now really like them.

by the way is someone want a pair of new sketchers I got mine on sale (just one day walking around) for half the price...

Let me jump in...

I been flying with Nike free run, something ion between running and training shoe, light, comfortable and my legs felt sensitive, which i liked. BUt at the end of the day, my feet felt tired and bottom of the feet felt like the been 'beat' too much. Then just recently i bought a pair of Brooks glycerin 8 running shoes and put them on after a loong day and they felt amazingly good even after my feet were already tired. Glycerin 8 uses special material inside to dampen the bumps when the bump is hard and the material stays soft when the bumps are easy. I really like the shoe. I'm yet to try them for a whole day with steadicam, but i am confident they are vewry good.

I was very excited about VIbram five shoes when read here on forum, but after trying them in the shop, didn't feel well, maybe becauise my smallest finger is very close to other finger thus separatiion of fingers felt uncomfortable... And i didn't like the feel of bare nakedw feet, fealt like feet pads are already beat enough... I gues in the end it depends extremely in your feet.

I was really excited about the five fingers for a while until I tried them. They don't fit my feet at all. I actually prefer operating barefoot when the surface and set politics allows so something like them would be great. Unfortunately I have long toes and my big toe is shorter than the next one so five fingers are a no go. I have tried other lightweight shoes but I find that I cant keep my technique the same with them as when barefoot so by the end of the day I am more sore than if I had gone either barefoot or with running shoes. If only I could operate barefoot on set more often without getting evil looks from the set medic.....
