Premium Members David Cain Posted February 26, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 26, 2007 Hello, Curious if anyone has had a chance to use Chrosziel's "The Rig"? I did on the weekend for a short. My heavily modified EFP went down for the count and a local service-provider allowed me to use his sled for the duration of the shoot. I'm sold on the design and functionality of The Rig and am considering the purchase leap. Any insights are welcomed... thanks, dc
Premium Members Kareem La Vaullee Posted February 26, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 26, 2007 Hi, From what I've heard lately it is not going to be made anymore... The Chrosziel company was purchased and "The Rig" is not in the new managers' perspective. (and it's not even about the two patents infringements...) If someone with more complete info can chime in... K.
Premium Members Guido Lux Posted February 26, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 26, 2007 I'm from munich and a friend of Christian Betz who did most of the design!Maybe it would be best if you'd write him a mail because for me it's hard to believe that he's giving up on his baby!Could be that Chrosziel is going to stop making it but Christian will make it himself and I'm sure he'll guarantee service for the next couple of hundred years...!Just write him an email and I'm sure you'll will get all the info you need! www.betz-tools.com cheers, Guido Lux PS: I think it's one of the best and most vesatile rigs you can buy!!
