(well, for a price that is.. haha.. hey, I got a baby to feed) :lol: I thought I dominated this market with my rickshaw rental. nuts. <_< That one looks pretty cool though. Mine now has 4 wheels, so I guess it really can't be called a rickshaw anymore. If and when I stop modifying mine, it will resemble a, um... car? I have a different optional seat for it now too that I hope can be used for Rickshaw "walkoffs" It still needs to be adapted to the frame so it might be a little while before its up and running. I checked it out in his garage... It was just an aerie deja-vu... I have been walking by several prototypes of the rover for about 2 years at Backstage Studio Equipment... As it turned out they build it and that was it. It all started when I send Colin Hudson to get a decent cart from them and over the next couple of months it developed into something very different... the only thing that stayed from the initial prototype is the Magliner Loading Nose. Hi Chris, yes I used it on a casino job the day before NAB as Erwin mentioned. I first used it the week before that at the Lake Arrowhead workshop and knew right away it would be the perfect for long shots. We did the whole day mounted to the CineRover with some shots in the casino at least 1000 feet or more. It's a relatively simple chariot style chair that breaks down to fit even in a small import sized car and assembles just as easily. I found it very stable to get on and off of and it's CG is such that I never felt like I was anywhere close to tipping over. You can set it up with two dually swivel wheels in the back or one single swivle set in the center rear. The other thing I like about it is that once you are seated and leaning your chest against the ample pad, there are two back rests that slide in from the rear sides at an angle that keep you centered. Premium Members Charles Papert Posted May 24, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 24, 2007 At Arrowhead we assaulted their rep (with her encouragement!) with a stream of suggestions and thoughts regarding this device which were due to be passed on and evaluated. Thus it is well assumed to be a work-in-progress but it has a lot of good features and possibilities, and most importantly is built modularly so it can be reconfigured for a specific shot as needed. Doug Stanley Posted August 18, 2010 Report Share Posted August 18, 2010 I rented the Cinerover last weekend. We used the vehicle for fairly normal operation, but on the sand. We were flying a Element Technica, SI-2K 3D rig. The vehicle worked well for our application, but there was a potentially disastrous situation a moment after we removed the camera, sled and arm from the vertical post. The vertical post, which is hinged at the bottom and held erect with a single bolt, failed entirely and crashed into the sand. The bolt, which was welded broke at the weld. It is a very, very good thing that this had not happened while the 3d camera rig was on it! Evidently it was a 350 dollar bolt, at least that is what I was charged for it.
