Espen Glomsvoll
Hi! My name is Espen, I´m new here. I´ve been working proffesionally as a photographer sice 2001, but have been in the TV business for around 10 years. Now that the digital world has arrived with lighter and cheaper equipment, I´m considering to buy a glidecam smoothshooter for use in documentary films and smaller projects. I´m wondering if there is anybody out there who is experienced with glidecam and knows if you can put in a harder compression spring? Not much harder, but just so you can lift about 2-3lbs more. Allso, if someone has any positive or negative experiences with glidecam, I will be glad to hear from you. Best regards, Espen, Norway PS: This site has allready been very useful to me. Keep up the good work!
Premium Members Charles King Posted March 10, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 10, 2007 Hi Aspen. I'll make things a little easy before the others tell you what I'm about to say to you. Try the Glidecam forum http://www.glidecamforum.com/conf/ or http://hbsboard.com/index.php. You probably won't get any answers because the shooter is not considered a high end rig. Just letting you off easy. ;) But please do try out those forums. Ooops, I forgot the steadiforum.com as well.
