Mike's practice cage is a great one. It has gone up in price over the years, and is now quite expensive at $350. Most people who own the "practice" cages don't usually sell them. We keep them for the "weight" plates if/when we get called for video jobs that have lightweight cameras. If you want one, I'd say just order one from Mike. When i first started a few years ago, i too bought a weight cage for $300+. I often think i could have been wiser with my money. In hindsight i should have just gotten a low mode cage, and some small wieght plates. That way you have a peice of equipment that can be used for real when its time to stop- practicing and start making money.
