The general consensus among our members over here is to adopt and adapt the existing agreement that they have in Canada. If it is successfull here then it would hopefully get adopted in the Uk as well. The ideal situation then would be that Ireland and the UK would have the same conditions and similar rates (taking ito account cost of living) as in Canada. If we're all working off the same/similar base then it becomes harder for the Studios to mess us around. We traditionally have a very weak union compared to other countries, but for the first time in years it appears that we will finally all get together and stand up for ourselves. I am quite hopefull.
