Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted April 29, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 29, 2007 I'm looking for a photo on this forum and am having a heck of a time trying to find it. The photo is of a Master series steadicam that has an LCD monitor attached to the master series monitor. (The LCD monitor lays on top of the master monitors screen.) I'm looking to have this same type of mounting bracket done to my monitor. First person to find it, wins! Let the hunt begin! Thanks! Thanks! --------------------- Hey Dave, I haven't seen the picture that you speak of but I mount my second monitor under my existing monitor, but I have seen my buddy's Master with the monitor on top of his existing one and it is all done with Velcro. Both my monitor and his is a 3.5 inch LCD Good Luck
Premium Members David Allen Grove Posted April 29, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 29, 2007 Hi Rob! I do that for live shows too! Works pretty well. Thanks. I want to be able to attach my 7" lcd directly and firmly to the master monitor itself in case it should ever decide to not work that day or for indoor use. The homemade bracket or plate that I saw is attached to the underbellly of the master monitor near the knobs and protrudes out making a small lip that has a screw hole for the LCD. Not sure I'm describing it well enough. I wish I could remember who owns that rig!

Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted April 30, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 30, 2007 Oy Louis, wonder what the drop-time would be on that thing! Maybe a quarter second?! I though I was a freak at my usual 1.5 to 2 sec drop. rb
Premium Members Jason Torbitt Posted April 30, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 30, 2007 Thanks for that photo David Seems like a neat solution in an emergency, in case of monitor failure, or a good quick fix. Still seems like a bit of a nightmare to have to carry around the excess weight of the CRT though. I get round it now with the Marell bracket (<plug>I have an extra one that I will be putting up for sale next week </plug>), so that I have my CRT on a spigot, and my LCD on a spigot, then I can just drop into the bracket whichever monitor I want to use at the time. Very useful. Cheers Jason
Delfino Ramirez Jr
This was the photo of the LCD/Master bracket I was looking for. Hi There, The photo in question is of my system. It is a flyer monitor attached to a hard plastic plate that connects to the bottom of the master series monitor by elongated screws. The 3 Screws must be attached center first then the sides, or else the CRT will disconnect internally. Had difficulty finding the right size screws; too short it will not connect, too long and it will press hard into components. Resolved by using the longer screws and adding a washer to each between the plate and monitor housing. I am out of town at the moment, so I can?t give specific dimensions and sizes till I return.
