MikePrevette
I'm looking for a tap for my friends IIc. Any recomendations? I saw a pic a few weeks ago, of a carbon fiber one with yellow writting on it. It was on a steadicam, but I can't remeber where I saw the pic. Any clue who makes this one? I prefferably would like to get a split door with eyepiece AND video. Jurgens isn't my fav, but if I find a good used one at a decent price I'd take it. thanks! -mike Seattle AC
Mitch Gross
Visual Products makes a nice one that mounts easily into the standard viewfinder door, replacing the eyepiece shutter door. So you end up with a Juergens-esque door with an integrated CCD tap and eyepiece. Have not used it myself but I'm told it's solid. www.visualproducts.com
Premium Members Jeremy Benning Posted May 31, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted May 31, 2004 I own the SL Cine video-only door with the Watec color tap. It is very light and compact. I have been told that there is now a Delrin plastic version of the same thing... www.slcine.com
