This raised a lot of questions for me. I am curious what exactly is his job, i.e. what kind of shots is he getting because you don't see many steadicam style shots in the broadcast? Is following a certain player, or just covering a certain path on the course etc.? I wonder if it is an NFL Films type of thing were he was shooting for another purpose other than the broadcast. It seems to me that would be a grueling job hiking a golf course all weekend, so what can you charge for such an event? Is he part of a broadcast team that travels with the tour or do they hire local guys when the tour comes through? What type of HD wireless transmitter is he using and how much does it weigh? How to you handle batteries (charging and changing) when you have to cover so much ground? How many gallons of water did he have to drink each hour just stay alive out there? This just raised so many questions in my mind that my head was a risk of exploding so I thought I would bring it up here! I am sure there are other questions to be discussed that I have missed here. He was too busy to stop and say hi, So I don't know who it was. I did see him follow / lead Phil on 18 in the final round, and he was hardwired to a handheld uplink. Got to see the work on the jumbo trons there too. Nice job, had to be tiring. He did have a golf cart, as did a lot of the handheld guys too. I'm sure they had a dedicated utility for batteries.
