Premium Members Michael Stumpf Posted March 30, 2006 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 30, 2006 Michael, How are you? I think Erwin was eluding to needing a total of eight screws (four for each dovetail plate attached). Not trying to call you out, just trying to clarify. Stephan, I too have been using a DB3 with XCS plates for sometime. No problems here. Peace. Alec, things are great, working like crazy. You are probably right about the 8 screws Erwin stated. Hope you are well too.
Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted March 30, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted March 30, 2006 Ramon, The XCS plates are just brilliant. Do you need them with a DB3? No. PRO sells plenty of their own stuff and I haven't heard complaints. I still own a few of George's plates too, but the ones form XCS are SO rigid (of course, heavier too). If you have to mount your motor rods form the dovetail plate (something I used to avoid with older plates because of the flex) then XCS is the way to go. http://www.xcsinc.com/images2/New%20dovetail%20plate.jpg A picture is worth a thousand words.
