Premium Members David Shawl SOC Posted June 18, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2007 Anyone check out the season premiere episode of Entourage last night? The episode was shot as a documentary of the fake movie they are shooting in Columbia. At one point you watch as a series of Steadicam shots are filmed and also showing the Steadicam operator in a few shots. IMDB lists Marc Cole as a operator for them, so perhaps that was him. It was a great epsiode, the nutty director gets in a huge fight with the DP on set and winds up beating him up and firing him, leaving the director to shoot the rest of the film. -Dave
Premium Members Brad Grimmett Posted June 18, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2007 I believe it was Greg Bubb that was in the episode. The credits listed Dan Kneece as the steadicam operator for the episode.
Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted June 18, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2007 Worth mentioning... The fact that our own Anthony Hardwick is one of the alternating Director of Photography on this Season. Enjoy.
Premium Members David Shawl SOC Posted June 18, 2007 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2007 (edited) Brad, I think you're right. The operator wasn't Dan Kneece in the behind the scenes portion of the fake filming. Edited June 18, 2007 by David Shawl
Premium Members Charles Papert Posted June 18, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 18, 2007 and it definitely was Greg Bubb.

Premium Members Mark Karavite Posted June 25, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 25, 2007 It's appropriate that Gregg get's to knock off a few of his 15 minutes of fame on screen for Entourage. He has done a lot for our craft, and is a great guy. Am I the only one bothered by them intercutting an obvoius low mode shot (assuming it's from Dan Kneece) to Gregg doing the same arc in the "behind the scenes" in high mode? I guess they weren't worried about Steadicam Ops in the continuity department, or maybe I'm too picky!
