Brian D. Goff
just wondering who invented the description "Don Juan" and why that name - any historical background? brian
Mitch Gross
Not sure who coined it, but the character of Don Juan was an infamous ladies man. He was always looking behind his back in case someone's husband might come after him.
Premium Members Bill Powers Posted June 1, 2004 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 1, 2004 I've always thought it related to the Tango, (Very Don Juanish thing to do), Look one way and move in the other.
IanMcMillan
At our SOA workshop in 1991 I think it was Jerry who gave us the history of normal position is Missionary and they had to come up with term for what is now Don Juan. Glad they didn't call it the obvious alternative. Perhaps Jerry or Garrett could confirm. Macca
