Premium Members Jeremy Benning Posted September 2, 2007 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 2, 2007 This is a highly unique package, very rare to find all of these accessories in one kit. I am a steadicam operator, and have owned this camera for 4 years - I was the primary user. Fully built with a 400' roll (SL 400 Mag), Cooke S4 32mm lens and LMB-5 matte box, this camera weighs in at 20lbs! (Cooke S4 and LMB-5 not included - example only) I am selling because I am downsizing my gear package. This sale includes the following: Arri 2C Body Serial # C9837, with PL and Panavision Mount, Super35 Gate SL Cine Video-only door w/ Watec Colour Camera Regular 2C eyepiece door with traditional eyepiece Periscopic Finder Arri Sliding Bridge plate Cinematography Electronics Crystal Motor Base (S/N: 19139) Variable shutter, 5-165 degrees Cinematography Electronics 2C Intervalometer Serial # 6459 Panavision style 4x5.6 Clip-on Matte Box w/6 Hard Mattes Gauge block kit w/ Arri and Panavision mount blocks, Mitutoyo gauge (the probe has a bent thread - can be replaced at a machine shop) CineSpeed Meter2 Super TV Ground Glass Regular TV (safe+trans) Ground Glass 1:85 Ground Glass 1x Hershman tool (ground glass remover) New Pelican 1650 Case for Camera body and accessories 2x Micro Pelican cases for ground glasses, parts, etc. This package was originally purchased from Whitehouse AV in Los Angeles for $15,000 US (with the Mags). Since then I have added the intervalometer, variable shutter and various overhauls. The camera has been thoroughly serviced by Cineasst in Toronto as well as Gerhard in LA (SL Cine's service Tech). The crystal base has been overhauled by Cinematography Electronics, competely rebuilt. The body has been modified by a previous owner with a great low-mode top, which I have used for steadicam several times. It also serves as a great mounting platform for on-board monitors, transmitters, focus motor drivers, etc (great for handheld). This top may be removed with three screws in order to use traditional 2C mags if desired. I had the variable shutter installed by Cineasst in Toronto. The camera is in very good condition, it has been repainted at some point by a previous owner...just some slight chipping around edges from regular use. Power cables are included for the video door and intervalometer. A D-mon "smart cable" for 12v power to the camera is also supplied. The camera will run up to 60fps (I had a speed governor installed in the speed base by cinematography electronics to prevent over speed). Registration is above average for a 2C. I am also throwing in a Medical 2C body that I bought for spare parts... See this gallery for more, high rez images: http://www.flickr.com/gp/14492185@N00/8Enum9 I am asking $7,000 USD for this camera and the above listed items, or best offer. I would sell this with the mags for a package price if this interests anyone. Email me at benning "at" interlog.com for more info. Please be sure to reply to the spam filter message that you will immediately get - otherwise I will not get your email. Thanks!
